International School of Conservation Biology

The Education Committee of SCB-Europe co-organizes two Schools on Conservation Biology. Urge your students to join them!

The Greek Summer School on conservation biology (www.cbcd.eu/gss) is directed at senior undergraduate and Master students from all over Europe (1-9 August 2009). Call will be open in March and registration deadline is planned for May 2009.

The International School of Conservation Biology (ISCB) www.hbd1885.hr/iscb is an intensive 9-day course held in the historic city of Rovinj, at 15-23 June, directed at 15-20 MSc and PhD students.

Registration deadline 15 February 2009. It is co-organized by the Croatian Biological Society, SCB-Europe, and the Center for Marine Research of the “Ruđer Bošković” Institute. An international team of instructors, guest speakers and field lecturers from Europe, USA and Canada will present latest trends, case studies and state of the art knowledge in this young and fast developing scientific discipline of conservation biology, which is considered today as the critical science of the 21st century. With successful completion of the School students will receive a certificate and 7 ECTS credits towards their university degree.
