Forming the Mediterranean Ad-Hoc Committee of the Europe Section

During the meeting of the Mediterranean Ad-hoc Committee of the Society for Conservation Biology – European Section held under the 3rd ECCB in Glasgow, a 2-page-statement on specific “Research Priorities and Enabling Actions for the Conservation of Mediterranean Areas” was compiled.

Please have a look at the website and download the document (pdf).

Among the aims of the Committee is to organize a workshop for the group as a next step, for which  the members are actively seeking funding opportunities.

The Ad-Hoc Committee invites interested colleagues - especially from the Mediterranean - to join the group and to promote conservation in the region.

If you would like to get more information or to contribute to the work, contact Dr. Linda Olsvig-Whittaker (linda.whittaker@npa.org.il)
