Policy-briefs contest and exhibition at ECCB2012

ECCB2012 innovates!
An exhibition of professional policy-briefs, as well as a contest open to any participant, will be organised during this meeting in Glasgow (28/08 - 01/09, 2012). All the details about what a policy-brief is and the requirements for registration and format can be found at: www.eccb2012.org/policy-brief.asp.
This is a great opportunity for all those who are interested in communicating scientific results to decision and policy-makers to discover and learn about this interesting media. It is also a chance to meet those professional who already use them, and benefit from their advice. Finally, running for the prize(s) is a way to show that not only are you a conservation scientist, but also a good writer and possibly a knowledge broker.
UNESCO, the British Ecological Society have also accepted to contribute and much more are still to come as member of the Jury, exhibitors and sponsors. So far we have a sum of money and the opportunity to publish the winner's brief in a well_known journal, but more prizes or opportunities may be offered soon. More details will be put on the webpage with the progression of the logistics and partnerships.
Participating to this event does not require any submission of abstract or extra registration fees. Nevertheless, to organise the event and keep you informed of any advancement (especially new prizes), please contact Barbara Livoreil at barbara.livoreil@gmail.com.
